Tamara Desmangles

Tamara is a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunty and a friend to many. However, of all those titles given she is most importantly a “Child of God”. She is the second child of Mr. Stephen Stuart and the late Ms. Marianna Thurston. Married to Richard Desmangles, her “ONE GOOD HUSBAND” for the past 13 years and the honey is still in the moon. Together, this union is gifted with two loving princesses Taleyah Rashay and Takiyah Riann.

Professionally, Mrs. Desmangles is a Life Administration and Sales Supervisor. She obtained her early childhood education at E.P. Roberts Primary School and is a proud graduate of R.M. Bailey Senior High School Class of 2000.

This is where she met (but did not date) the love of life. Her pastimes, are spent creating memorable moments with her family by way of homemade videos, family game nights, homemade art and craft, baking with her daughters and having heart-2-heart conversations with her husband.
Even with her busy schedule of the day-to-day wife and mommy duties; there is always time for studying the Word of God and praying. Daily, (yes-daily since the Covid-19 pandemic) she assembles in her family room for Bible Study led by husband with her daughters. Each person gets an opportunity to read a chapter and share what they have learnt from the scripture. They also encourage each other to apply the principles learnt in their every day lives beginning right at home.

At the age of 14, she heard the call of God and accepted Him as Lord and Personal Savior, it is this answer to the call that has kept her grounded all these years. She worships at The New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ballou Hill Road South under the leadership of Sr. Pastor Alfred Stewart. Like many young adults and the great names in the Bible, this journey came with its challenges and opportunities but with God’s grace she never lost her way.

In the last two years, her purpose for “My Marriage Is My 1st Ministry” grew heavy and she has spent many nights talking to God as to which direction to go. Her husband, a major support has also shared in this journey. As a team, they began reading and studying literature on marriage, to become even more equipped for God’s will to be fulfilled. Without a doubt, this journey is ongoing, which believe it or not, is the result of today’s assignment .

This evening, I welcome to you Mrs. Tamara Ann Desmangles affectionately called “Bel Fanm” by her husband.
